Sacramento's California Musical Theatre Season

Looking for something to do this summer? Why not road trip up to Sacramento, CA for some great musical theatre at California Musical Theatre.

As previously announced, the season will include productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie (July 7-12), Altar Boyz (July 14-19), Guys and Dolls (July 21-26), Into the Woods (July 28-Aug. 2), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Aug. 4-9), Man of La Mancha (Aug. 11-16) and Cats (Aug. 18-30).

Mara Davi will head the cast of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Directed by Glenn Casale and choreographed by John MacInnis with musical direction by Bill Stanley, the cast will also feature Ruth Williamson, Robert Townsend, Matt Loehr, Megan McGinnis, Billy Bustamente, Reggie De Leon, Diane Vincent and Karole Foreman.

The boy-band send-up Altar Boyz will be directed by Stafford Arima, with a cast featuring Devin DeSantis as Matthew, Jamison Scott as Mark, Ryan Nearhoff as Luke, Xavier Cano as Juan and Tim Dolan as Abraham.

The classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls will boast direction by Marcia Milgrom Dodge and a cast headed by Tony Award winner Gary Beach, Heather Lee, Matthew Ashford and Montego Glover.

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods will be directed and choreographed by Glenn Casale. Vicki Lewis stars with Jeffry Denman, Yvette Cason, Tracy Katz Paladini, Matt Wolpe, Kim Huber, Savannah Smith-Thomas, Gordon Goodman, Jason Forbach, Michael G. Hawkins, Teri Ralston, Summer Broyhill, Christy Morton, Karen Culliver and Ed Brazo.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge will direct and Pepper Clyde will choreograph Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The cast will be headed by Joseph Mahowald and Jacquelyn Piro Donovan.

The Tony-winning Man of La Mancha will be directed by Guy Stroman and choreographed by Bob Richard with musical direction by Dennis Castellano. Walter Charles will star with Valerie Perri, Kevin Ligon, P.L. Brown, Peter Reardon, Todd Alan Johnson, Madeleine Doherty and Marcus Stevens.

The season will conclude with Cats, which will be directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford. Starring Ken Page, with Jacquelyn Piro Donovan and Jeffry Denman.
