Want to be the Next Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL?
Center Theatre Group is looking for a new lead in Funny Girl, which will play the Ahmanson in 2012. They are accepting auditions online for the role of Fanny Brice, in addition to holding traditional auditions. To submit a 90-second video go to http://bit.ly/iWdpFZ.
Here are the requirements for submission:
1. Gender: female
2. Playing age: 21 to 35 years old
3. Ethnic appearance: Caucasian
4. Fluent language(s): English
5. Union: none required
6. Be "legal 18" (officially emancipated).
7. Applicants must be lawfully and currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
8. Great voice, with a big range; E below middle C - high F. Mezzo with high mix or belt.
9. Be available for the following work schedule:
• 1st Rehearsal: on or about Nov.28, 2011 (in New York)
• 1st Preview: January 15, 2012 (in Los Angeles)
• Opening: February 1, 2012
• Closes: February 26, 2012
10. Accept that all submitted videos will become the solely owned property of the Center Theatre Group. By submitting an audition, you relinquish all claims and rights to ideas, images and video therein.
