Cabrillo Music Theatre's ANNIE Auditions and Local Cabaret Updates
Auditions for Cabrillo Music Theatre’s upcoming production of ANNIE will be held August 6 – 9th. Auditions are by appointment only in Thousand Oaks, and an AEA call will be held in Los Angeles on August 8. All roles are available except Miss Hannigan, who will be played by Sally Struthers. Click Here for a complete description of roles available.Chris Isaacson and Upright Cabaret present the west coast debut of Broadway diva and “Saturday Night Live” alum Ana Gasteyer in Elegant Songs from a Handsome Woman in a limited engagement of three shows only, August 11-13, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Showtime is 8:30pm, with dinner and drink service beginning at 7pm.
Gasteyer brings her unique comic wit and style to the stage in her new classy, brassy and sassy club act, featuring Broadway ditties, beloved (if forgotten) standards, and movie melodies. ASCAP is presenting a special evening of songs by some of today's talented and contemporary Musical Theatre Composers and Lyricists including Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, and Tommy Newman, with special guest performers Jason Graae and Jenna Leigh Green.
The performances are hosted By Andrea Marcovicci Friday, August 19th and Saturday, August 20th, 9:00 pm at The Gardenia, 7066 Santa Monica Boulevard (corner of LaBrea). No Cover Charge. Doors open at 7:30PM for dinner or drinks. You must make a reservation by calling 323 467 7444.
Tribute Fridays are back at La Mirada Theatre. All concerts start at 8:00 pm but you're invited to come early for Happy Hour at 6:30 pm.
