Changing My Tune Salon

Rick's Picks Benefit Concerts presents Changing My Tune: The Songs of Joel Evans and Adryan Russ, a private Studio City Salon, Sunday, June 24, 2012, 5pm (location revealed when you make your reservations). Starring: Barbara Morrison & Mark Winkler with Dianne Fraser, Courtney Freed, Karen GedissmanNina Herzog, Adam James, Rebecca JohnsonMark Arthur Miller and Rick Starr. Featuring Shelly Markham (music director), Tim Emmons (bass) and Tom Bowe (drums).

Do you love the standards written by the American Songbook greats and performed by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Bublé and Diana Krall? Then this Rick's Picks is the one for you! Joel Evans and Adryan Russ met at a gathering of The Society of Composers & Lyricists in Los Angeles. Joel was writing for film and TV, seeking talented lyricists. Adryan had been writing pop tunes and songs for musical theater and was looking to write lyrics to great melodies. Their collaboration showcases a mutual love for jazz and standards. Some of these songs have been placed in film and on TV. Come and learn which ones!
