The Apple Tree Plays Crown City Theatre

Crown City Theatre Company will present Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick’s The Apple Tree, previewing June 3 & 4 and running through June 28. The three acts, normally staged as a vehicle for three stars (originally Barbara Harris, Alan Alda and Larry Blyden), will feature three different actresses and actors in the lead for each one-act, as well as a different director.

The first act, based on Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve, stars Matthew J. Williams as Adam in his first role back in L.A. after moving with CTG's Come Back Little Sheba to Broadway. Morgan Lynsey will play Eve and veteran Shakespearean actor Jon Mullich lends his charms to the Snake. Gary Lamb directs.

The Lady or the Tiger? stars Kit Paquin in the role of Princess Barbara, Josh Helmuth as Captain Sanjara and Brian Maples as The Balladeer. William A. Reilly directs.

Passionella stars Stephanie Fredricks (Broadway's Wonderful Town (Violet) with Ben Rovner playing the role of Flip, The Prince, Charming. Matthew J. Williams directs.
