Cabarabia Spotlight on Lauren White, Donna King, and Alexys

Clifford Bell presents The Cabarabia Spotlight featuring Lauren White, Donna King, and Alexys on Saturday, May 14th, 8:00-9:30pm at MBAR in Hollywood.

The Cabarabia Spotlisth is an opportunity to enjoy new and established artists in an intimate live setting.


Lauren White is an accomplished Los Angeles based singer who blends the worlds of Jazz and Cabaret seamlessly with the release of her new self-titled CD, "Lauren White", produced by Michael Orland ("American Idol") and Ted Perlman ("Buffalo Sound"). Lauren has performed from coast to coast from the legendary Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles to the world famous Triad in New York City.

Donna King returns to Los Angeles after years of living in London. She was featured on Broadway in the original casts of Cats, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, and the revival of Can Can. She later moved to London where she was in the original cast of Chess and then starred as Aurora, the fantasy femme fatale in Kiss Of The Spider Woman at The Shaftsbury Theatre in London's West End.

Alexyx is native of Los Angeles who spent her formative years working as a solo vocalist on many films, from the soundrack of The Red Violin to the recent Battle:Los Angeles. She has sung for Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, and John Corigliano, and for the last couple of years, she was featured with A.R. Rahman, performing the music from Slumdog Millionaire on The Tonight Show, The 2009 Academy Awards, The Oprah Show and The White House for President Obama's first state dinner honoring the Prime Minister of India and the Nobel Peace Prize.

The evening is directed by Clifford Bell, with musical director Peter Smith, Nate Light on Bass, and Tom Bowe on Drums.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, Show begins at 8:00 pm
