Jason Graae, Erich Bergen, Double Grande, and More
The Colony Theatre is excited to present musical theatre dynamo Jason Graae in Perfect Hermany: Jason Graae Sings Jerry Herman, with musical direction by John Boswell, and directed by Lee Tannen. In this special one-night-only performance, Graae will sing selections from Jerry Herman’s shows, including Hello Dolly, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, The Grand Tour, Mack and Mabel, and more. Perfect Hermany will take place on Saturday, May 14, at 8:00 pm at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center. His CD, The Vegas Sessions, features new studio recordings of original compositions in the pop genre, along with live tracks recorded during three sold out concerts in Las Vegas in April, 2009. The disc will be available for purchase at the upcoming Show at Barre date, and is currently available at iTunes, Amazon.com, CD Baby, and other digital music outlets. A special engagement of Double Grande Vocal/Piano Duo starring Wayland Pickard and Deborah Johnson, will play the Odyssey Theatre May 6, 7, and 8. Double Grande is a high-energy show, featuring favorite duets from Elton John and Billy Joel to Sonny and Cher, to Celine Dion and Andrea Boccelli…even a duet with Kermit & Miss Piggy. The Next Fairy Tale, book, music and lyrics by Brian Pugach, musical direction by Wayne Moore and choreography by Jeffrey Polk, is extending again through May 21st at Celebration Theatre, 7051B Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.
