The new musical I Remember Lou by Alan Stillson is set to open at the Whitefire Theatre June 1 and run through July 8. I Remember Lou combines a modern story with the elements of a classical Broadway style musical comedy and is set in 2005 at a tribute service for Lou Goldfarb in the Forestville, New Jersey Jewish Center. Through the eyes of his brother Joe, we view highlights of Lou’s life. We learn that he wants to be a good son, husband and father, but his devotion to his job of helping poor makes it hard to get his life in balance. Does he succeed? Produced by Stillsonworks and directed by Alissa-Nicole Koblentz with musical director Bonnie Janofsky, it stars Johnny Ferretti, Todd Andrew Ball, Laura Wolfe and Deena Russo.
