The Milford Project Set To Premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival

The Milford Project is a brand new musical comedy premiering at the second annual Hollywood Fringe Festival on June 17, 2011. Set in the sleepy town of Milford, Iowa in 1937, it is the unforgettable story of a thirteen-year old science prodigy who’s enlisted to build the world’s first atomic bomb. Together with his talented and lovely lab partner, he must overcome government agents, the evil kids from the Des Moines Science Academy, Nazi spies, an emotionally needy father, and the entire process of falling in and out of love in a frenzied quest for that big blue ribbon.

Featuring original songs like “We Are Smarter Than You,” “The King Of Evil Scientists,” and the showstopping patriotic anthem “Marry Me America,” Milford is a hard-rocking, foot-stomping ode to young love, ruthless villainy, falsified history, and laminated science project display boards.

The Milford Project is created by Kevin Oeser and Nick Martin, whose credits include world-famous short films for Funny Or Die, comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater, and the hit show Un-Zed: A Zombie Musical.

The Milford Project will preview on June 10th at 9:30pm at Art/Works, 6585 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038, and play the Lounge Theater, June 17 – 25th. The Lounge is located at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038.
