20 Years: A Look Back at the Award-Winning Actors Co-op Legacy

On Friday, September 9, 2011, Actors Co-op will present 20 Years: A Look Back at the Award-Winning Actors Co-op Legacy. The tribute evening includes songs and scenes celebrating over 80 productions in Actor Co-op's history performed by members and alumni, as well as a special dedication to David Schall, co-founder of Actors Co-op. The evening will be followed by a dessert reception.

Over thirty actors will participate in the tribute. Scenes from The Elephant Man, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Hasty Heart, WIT and many others will be performed by the original Actors Co-op member who brought the stories to life. In addition, musical numbers from Into the Woods, Spitfire Grill and Man of La Mancha among others will also be performed.

Actors Co-op’s 20th Anniversary Season is dedicated to the memory of David Schall. As one of the original founders of Actors Co-op, Schall was the man behind the scenes, in front of the scenes, and the man spreading the word about the only Christian theatre company in Los Angeles under contract with Actors’ Equity Association. David passed away on April 11, 2003, hours before he was to appear on stage in the opening night performance of Uncle Vanya.

20 Years: A Look Back will take place on September 9, 2011 at 8:00 PM in The Henrietta Mears Center, located at 1760 N. Gower Street, Hollywood, CA 90028. Free, well-lit parking is available on Carlos Street (1/2 block east of Gower). Tickets are $15.
