Laguna Playhouse Announces 2013 – 2014 Season

You’ll see the stars come out in Laguna during Laguna Playlhouses upcoming 2013- 2014 starriest-ever season which includes Davis Gaines and Vicki Lewis starring in I Do! I Do!; a celebration of Johnny Cash’s music in Ring of Fire, a mystery Holiday show and much more. Here is the season at a glance.

July 9 - Aug. 11, 2013 (Press Opening July 13)

The charming story of Michael and Agnes and their 50 years of marriage takes place around a large four-poster bed and features the musical standard, “My Cup Runneth Over.” The Playhouse is thrilled to have two great musical talents, Davis Gaines (Phantom of the Opera; Hello, Dolly; Camelot) and Vicki Lewis (Chicago, Damn Yankees) who will light up our stage in their turn at this funny and heartwarming musical about the joy, struggles, humor and passion that is every marriage.

Fallen Angels is a champagne cocktail of wit, charm and high comedy that set the stage for the likes of female comedic duos such as Lucy and Ethel and LaVerne and Shirley. This is Noel Coward at his inimitable best - you'll laugh yourself silly at the farcical foibles of these fabulous Fallen Angels.

November 22 – December 29, 2013 (Press Opening November 26)
The spirit of imagination and negotiation is alive at the Laguna Playhouse. We are holding out one special production to be announced soon. You will remember some of our productions from holidays past, Plaid Tidings, This Wonderful Life and Daddy Long Legs. We promise to bring you another in this tradition that is truly special and magical.

Its a hilarious 98-minute roller-coaster ride through its compact compendium of the 83 greatest books in the history of Western Literature.
April 29 – May 25, 2014 (Press Opening May 3)

Directed by Jenny Sullivan
Starring Linda Purl
Adapted for the stage by Joan Didion from her memoir, The Year of Magical Thinking is both a love letter to her daughter, who died just before the book was published in 2005, and a tribute to an extraordinary marriage.


August 13 - 25, 2013
This multi-media spectacular re-creates a high level theater like concert with up to 4 costume eras. They include The British Invasion/Ed Sullivan Show era, The 1965 Help/Shea Stadium era, The Sgt. Pepper/Magical Mystery Tour era and The Let it Be/Abbey Road era.

September 17 - 29, 2013 
Hershey Felder will return to the Laguna Playhouse for this world premiere performance. Franz Liszt was “the” piano superstar of the 19th century, if not of all time. Hershey Felders The Piano Show! promises an artful blend of live music and vivid storytelling.
