La Mirada Theatre Announces Cast for BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story
La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment have announced the cast for their upcoming musical, BUDDY – The Buddy Holly Story, by Alan Janes and Rob Bettinson. Glenn Casale will direct Brandon Albright in the starring role. Musical direction is by Darryl Archibald and choreography by Dana Solimando.
The cast will also feature Steve Alderfer as Tommy Alsopp, Omar D. Brancato as Joe B. Mauldin, T.J. Dawson as The Big Bopper, Christia Mantzke as Vi Petty , Maegan McConnell as Maria Elena, Manuel Romero as Ritchie Valens, Arthur L. Ross as Apollo DJ, Brent Schindele as Norman Petty, Andy Taylor as Hipockets Duncan, Jennifer Leigh Warren as Apollo Singer, Matt Wolpe as Jerry Allison, along with Jack Bartlett, Darrin Glesser, Bill Lewis, and Cody Wood.

BUDDY – The Buddy Holly Story tells the incredible story of the three years in which Buddy Holly became the world’s top recording artist with a show that features over 20 of his greatest hits including “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be The Day,” “Oh Boy,” “Not Fade Away,” “Everyday,” “Rave On,” “Maybe Baby,” “Raining In My Heart,” Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba,” and the Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace.”
Performances begin on Friday, April 16 (with a press opening on Saturday, April 17) and will run through Sunday, May 2 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Boulevard in La Mirada.
