Pot! The Musical is the story of a young girl named Sweetie and her journey as a non-pot smoker to discovering her life purpose as various dominating characters parade through her life on both sides of the spectrum. Whether you are for or against pot, it’s a musical comedy that uses laughter to bring to light the circus created by society’s ignorance and discrimination against one of nature’s most miraculous plants. The show’s theme centers around education, moderation and compassion.
The show previously received two workshop performances at The Complex in spring of 2009. This marks the world premiere of the show as a finished work. Performances will take place April 2 – May 2, 2010 at The Electric Lodge, 1416 Electric Avenue, Venice, CA 90291. Free on-site parking is available.
Tickets are on sale now by calling 1-800-838-3006 or online at www.potthemusical.com/, Several special performances have also been scheduled as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival on Friday, June 18 at 7 pm, Saturday, June 19 at 1 pm and 5 pm, and Sunday, June 27 at 1 pm at Comedy Sportz, 733 Seward Street, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
