Sierra Madre Playhouse Presents Doris Day Musical
Christy Mauro-Cohen stars as Doris Day in a musical that traces the star’s life and career in Day After Day at Sierra Madre Playhouse October 10. Doris Day’s legendary career began in the big band era, when she sang with Les Brown and His Band of Renown. She went on to star in 38 movies and her own TV series, which lasted five seasons, before retiring to devote herself to animal charities.Day After Day features songs that were hits for Day, including “Que Sera Sera,” “Sentimental Journey,” “I Got the Sun in the Morning,” “Bewitched,” “I Enjoy Being a Girl,” “The Party’s Over,” “When I Fall in Love,” “It’s Magic,” “With a Song in My Heart,” “Moonlight Bay,” ‘Lullaby of Broadway,” “By the Light of the Silvery Moon,” and many more.
Director is Anthony Santamauro and David Cohen is musical director. Lani Ridley Pedrini will produce the Theaters of Vision project.
