Happy Days Cast Announced for Cabrillo Music Theatre

Happy Days

Cabrillo Music Theatre has announced the cast for its upcoming production of Happy Days: A New Musical opening Friday, October 22nd. The show will star theatre veterans Derek Keeling (as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli) and Misty Cotton (as “Pinky” Tuscadero).

Keeling is well-known as a finalist from the television series, “You’re The One That I Want,” and the resulting Broadway run as Danny Zuko in Grease. Cotton starred in the Off-Broadway production of The Marvelous Wonderettes, a role she’ll repeat in Cabrillo’s upcoming production.

Joining them are Tracy Lore, a Southern California musical theatre fixture, as Marion Cunningham, and Derek Klena, co-star of Cabrillo’s recent Cinderella, as Richie. The show also stars John Richard Petersen, Tessa Grady, Blake Sterling, Dane Biren, Jonny Wexler, Nicholas Leinbach, Will Harris, Holly Long and Jay Weber, along with Valentine Bezar, Simoné Denise Burch, Callie Carson, Jessie Lee Coffman, Aubrey Elson, Sarah Girard, Keenon Hooks, Natasha Hugger, Tyler Muhlenkamp, Joe Roth and Estevan Valdes.

Susan Morgenstern will direct, musical direction is by Lloyd Cooper, and choreography is by John Charron.

Happy Days: A New Musical brings the beloved television series to life as a stage musical, with a new book by series creator Garry Marshall, and brand new songs from Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams.

Arnold’s Diner, the famed drive-in malt shop and number one hangout, is in danger of demolition, so the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and TV-worthy wrestling match. It’s a perfect family-friendly musical that will have you rockin’ and rollin’ all week long.

Happy Days: A New Musical runs October 22 - October 31 at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks. For more information go to www.cabrillomusictheatre.com/.
