Performers Workshop Auditions - August 26
Auditions will be held Sunday, August 26 from 2 -6 PM for the Fall session of ANMT’s Performers Workshop, created and taught by Broadway Actor/Director/Acting Coach Joshua Finkel with Musical Direction by Jake Anthony. The Performers Workshop is an intensive structured curriculum in Musical Theater Actor Training concentrating on Audition and Performance Techniques. Classes begin September 5 and 8, 2012. If accepted, your audition will place you in:Adult Level 1
• 10 Wednesday evenings from 7-10pm beginning September 5th. $450
• Build and perform your basic Audition Song package.
• Learn all the technique of creating two wonderful audition pieces.
• All work will be featured in a showcase on November 14, 2012.
Adult Advanced Level 2
• 6 Saturday afternoons from 3-6pm starting September 8th. $275
• Work on new audition songs or monologues
• Build a role into your body or
• Work on callbacks
• Performer Showcase on November 14, 2012
NEW! Adult Professional Level 3
• 6 Saturday mornings from 11am-2pm starting September 8th. $620
• Geared toward the working professional.
• Classes in Demo Recording, Singing on Film, Audition Panels
• Audition for top agents, casting directors and directors of Theater and Musical Theater
• The fall session helps you construct and record a three song demo each 1 minute in length.
• Learn the techniques and basics of working in a recording studio
• Leave the class with a polished 3 song demo showing your range and versatility.
• Fall Showcase on November 14, 2012
Class size is limited to 10-12 singers so everyone will perform at each session with intensive personalized coaching. All classes and auditions meet at the Academy for New Musical Theatre, 5628 Vineland Ave. in North Hollywood (just north of Burbank Blvd. on the east side of Vineland). www.anmt.org
Audition Requirements:
• Picture/Resume
• Bring sheet music to 2 contrasting songs in your key
• Each song should be about 1 minute in length or 32 bars
• A one-minute contemporary monologue
• Choose material which features your vocal range and emotional connection
• Note: a pianist will be provided
